Hunters for the Hungry
February 15, 2013
Hunters for the Hungry's mission is to alleviate hunger and malnutrition in Texas by distributing donated venison to communities in need. Hunters contribute their field-dressed deer and a nominal fee to cover processing costs. Meat processors, like Granzin's Meat Market, grind the venison into burger, package, and then store it. Granzin's has chosen to partner with Communities in Schools, and this year given the donated venison to the South Central Texas branch of Communities in Schools. This branch aids Comal ISD, Marion ISD, New Braunfels ISD, and the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD. We are glad to be able to give back to the children of this community. Our family that we have grown with over the last 31 years.

Heart of Hope Yearly Event
December 2, 2012
Heart of Hope took place on Sunday December 2nd and Monday December 3rd. The yearly event, put on by Oakwood Baptist Church for under resourced families in the New Braunfels community, began in 2005. On the first year the event was only one night and served 600 guests. This year the event served 999 guests a delicious sit down dinner served by junior high school members of Oakwood. Following dinner, guests were escorted to the toy area where each guests child selected two age-appropriate toys with the assistance of Oakwood's high school members. All guests were then allowed to choose a new coat and were given sacks of groceries provided by members, and friends from Oakwood. Granzin's Meat Market gladly donated and handed out 400 dozen cartons of eggs, 183 half gallons of milk, and 183 hams. Granzin's Meat Market is glad to have been a part of bringing Christmas to some of the New Braunfels community.
